Statistically proven as the fastest 10k course in the UK. This is a generally flat 2 lap traffic free, very well sheltered tarmac course using Telford Town Park, and the Silkin Way (a former railway line).
Course record set in 2024 Jack Rowe 28-01, and in 2022 Samantha Harrison 31-10. Last year we had more runners under 30 minutes than any race ever within the UK (58 runners based on chip time).
The event is open to runners of ALL abilities and particularly those wishing to achieve a personal best time.
New bespoke metal medal to each finisher.
This year we are rearranging the waves to reduce congestion so that the faster runners are now spread out over the first 3 waves. Wave 4 is for the Masses for OVER 40 minutes finish time only, no time limit.
10.15am. Wave 1 is for Elite men 28 to 30.30 and limited further men 30.30 to 31 minutes.
10.40am. Wave 2 is for Elite ladies and further men 30.30 to 37 minutes.
11.15am. Wave 3 is for further ladies and further men and masters 31 to 41 minutes.
11.50am. Wave 4 is for Masses OVER 40 minutes to 90 minutes plus. There is no time limit in wave 4.
Elite athletes with qualifying times below, please contact us for automatic entry to Wave 1 for Men and Wave 2 for Ladies. Sub 30.30 for Men (or sub 14.30 for 5km), or sub 35.00 for Ladies (or sub 17.00 for 5km), shown recorded on Power of 10 website within the last 2 years. Please send name, date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy format), address & Club to Dave Mansbridge at telford10k@yahoo.co.uk for free automatic entry. Elite runners will not appear on the online entry list until early December. Elite entries will continue to be taken until early December.
Cash Prizes to first 5 Men and first 5 Ladies in the Elite races only.
First place £500, Second £300, Third £200, Fourth £100, Fifth £50, for both Male & Female. Course Record Prize £250.
Masters Prizes are: First man and first lady in each category: over 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75. Also first under 20
